Hal Morris is a former professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball as a first baseman and outfielder. He was born on April 9, 1965, in Fort Rucker, Alabama.
Morris was selected by the New York Yankees in the eighth round of the 1986 MLB Draft and made his MLB debut with the team in 1988. He also played for the Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, and Detroit Tigers during his career.
Morris was known for his solid hitting and defensive skills, earning a reputation as a reliable player at first base. He was a consistent hitter with a career batting average of .304 and a keen eye for the strike zone.
After retiring from professional baseball, Morris worked as a scout for the Boston Red Sox and as a hitting coach for the Los Angeles Angels. He currently serves as a scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
